Matt Henderson: Perron On The Block, Anisimov The Target?

It would be a it of a win-lose trade in my opinion. We need more players like Perron on the Oilers, but we also need a player like Anisimov to shore up our lack of center depth.

It's a "bite the bullet" situation. Perron has great value, especially with respect to his cap hit.

Jero, You know I don't troll Oilers threads so chill. I am not suggesting that the intent of the trade is to win the cup. I am not just not sure it is a great trade.

I know it's been speculated that's why he's being shopped but do any of you believe that's the case? If so that would be a huge problem IMO.

yes it will. Arco is not a 2nd line C, and Leon isn't ready for that spot either. It will help balance out the Top 9 which is really a line and a half deep at the moment bc of the Center Issue

unreal deal for CBJ if this happens... weird deal for Oils.. sure perron has been bad, but then again so has the whole team. Perron last year was one of their most effective players. IMO, Oils get even worse if this deal happens

I seriously doubt that is why he is being shopped.

He is being shopped because he is a valuable commodity that doesn't involve getting rid of one of the young guys, especially at a time when trading any of the young guys is pretty much "selling low".

Yes it will significantly upgrade their 2C ... I like Perron for the oil but if you get a 2C I think you gotta take the deal
